T. Chester Wang is the general partner and co-founder of Acorn Campus Ventures, and a founding member of Acorn Angels. Dr. Wang graduated from Tsinghua University in Taiwan and later got his Ph.D. in physics from University of Oregon. He had been a college professor taught computer science, co-founded Pacific Rim Electronics, a wholesaler and distributor of semiconductor chips, also a co-founder of CMC, a software company for computer numerical machines. He and his brother, Stanley T. Wang another Tsinghua graduate, have been instrumental in developing numerous residential, commercial and industrial properties in Silicon Valley. He had co-chaired the New Realty Task Force with then Mayor Susan Hammer of San Jose, a city with over $1 billion annual budget and 6,000 employees, to re-engineering City's budgeting and operation. He currently serves on the board of Altigen Communications, Crown Bioscience,Btrend, ChinaBio, and Chinese Bible Society.

Samuel T. Wang is the President of SMIC Americas, the US operation of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation, the first pure play wafer foundry company in China. Sam leads a team of semiconductor experts to develop marketing and sales work from its office located at Fremont, California.
Prior to joining SMIC, from 1995 to 2001, Sam was the Vice President of Operation of 8x8 Inc, a fabless design company specializing in SOC multimedia chips and videoconference systems. From 1984 to 1995, Sam was the cofounder and Executive Vice President of ICT Inc., a semiconductor technology company specializing in developing and marketing EEPROM, EPROM, Flash nonvolatile memories and Programmable Logic Devices (PLD). Before 1984 , Sam was employed as engineering manager by Hughes Aircraft, Intel and National Semiconductor on various EPROM and DRAM projects.
Sam has been the executive and Board Director of ICT, 8x8 Inc., 2netFX and Sunsil Inc. Sam has published 15 technical papers, co-authored one book and holds more than 10 US patents.
Ph.D. in Electronic Material Department from Princeton University of New Jersey, and BS Physics from Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, 1970. Sam has the background of semiconductor process integration, device physics, multimedia software and hardware integration.

Dr. Jen-Chang Chou is the former director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, as well as a distinguished nuclear physicist and government leader. Dr. Chou served from 1987-92 as director of Taiwan's Institute of Nuclear Energy Research, and for more than nine years as the Secretary General of Silicon Valley's Monte Jade Science and Technology Association. He is the author of twenty-five journal articles on nuclear science, accelerator applications and nuclear applications, and a frequent contributor to Sino-Canadian American Science News Brief. His current research project affiliated with the Stanford Program on Regions of Innovations and Entrepreneurship is focusing on the Greater China.

Dr. Frank Kung is the founding General Partner of BioAsia Investments, LLC (BioAsia), a healthcare/biotechnology venture capital management firm in Palo Alto, California with US$200 million under management. BioAsia, formed in 1996, invests primarily in life sciences companies, and assists these companies in the development and commercialization of their products. Its current portfolio includes more than 50 private and public biotechnology companies in the areas of biopharmaceuticals, specialty pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical services, and therapeutic medical devices. BioAsia led in more than 2/3 of all venture investments it made in the past 7 years, and usually before major rounds of financing led by large funds.

Dr. Kung started his career in the biotechnology industry in 1979 when he joined Cetus Corporation. He later co-founded Cetus Immune Corporation in 1981, which was acquired by its parent company in 1983. In 1984 he co-founded Genelabs Technologies, Inc. (NADSAQ: GNLB) where he served as Chairman and CEO until 1995. During his tenure in Genelabs, he brought the company public in 1991, and built it to a 175 employee international biotech company with operations in the United States, Belgium, Singapore, Switzerland and Taiwan.

Dr. Kung received his B.S. in chemistry from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, his Ph.D. in molecular biology and M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He received the Best Use of Technology Award from the Governor of California, the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards from Ernst and Young, and the Asian Business League. He also served on the board of directors of the Emerging Company Governing Body of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO); Mt. Jade Science and Technology Association, West Coast; and the Asian American Manufacturing Association. He was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services as a voting member of the National Biotechnology Policy Board. Dr. Kung currently serves on the board of directors of a number of emerging healthcare and biotechnology companies.

Feng Deng, Co-founder, Board Director and Chief Strategy Officer, NetScreen Technologies, Inc.

Feng has more than fifteen years of technical and managerial experience in computer, communication and data networking industry. In 1997, Feng co-founded NetScreen Technologies, which has become one of the world's leading network security equipment vendors. NetScreen went public on NASDAQ in 2001. In April of 2004, NetScreen was acquired by Juniper Networks for $4 billion. Due to his contribution to the success of NetScreen, Feng was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by E&Y in 2002 and the Innovator of the Year award by CRN in 2003.

Prior to founding NetScreen, Feng worked at Intel Corp., where he participated in the development of several generations of Intel microprocessor and chip-set products.

Feng holds a MS degree in computer engineering from the University of Southern California and a MS degree in electronic engineering from Tsinghua University. Feng also holds five U.S. patents in computer system architecture and IC design.

Raymond Yang , is the CEO and board director of Linktone, Ltd. a leader in China Mobile Data Service market. Prior to Linktone, Raymond Yang was the co-founder, President and CEO of RivalWatch, Inc., a leading provider of real-time Competitive and Market Intelligent. Backed by first-tier Silicon Valley VCs RivalWatch investors including Author Rock, the father of VC, Larry Mohr, Mohr and Davidow Venture, Aspen Venture, and Mario Rosati, of Wilson Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati. Founded in 1999, today, RivalWatch has acquired many top-tier customers and become a profitable company. Before starting up RivalWatch, Mr, Yang went back China from Silicon Valley to start a company to work with Boston Technology (later acquired by Comverse Technology) to penetrate China voice messaging and short messaging market, and he has grown the company from zero to become the number one market share in China within three and half year. Mr. Yang has worked for New World Telephone in Hong Kong, Centigram Communication and ABB in Silicon Valley. Mr. Yang received his B.S. from Tsinghua University (E.E.) and got his M.S. from EPRI Graduate School in China. Mr. Yang is the advisor of Tsinghua University Alumni Assoc., Northern California (THAA-NC) and Sr. adviser of Tsinghua University Science Park Overseas Technology Committee.
